Yellow Fog Question
Just got my Yellow fog bulbs from Eurolights.com. They look AWESOME on the ground but from head on they dont look quite as yellow. I was thinking of getting some kind of yellow film and placing it on plastic of the fog light unit. Does anyone have any ideas? I know there is yellow tint. I think that might work but dont know where to get it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I saw ke6ztp's PIAA fogs upclose..and it was AWESOME! from an angle it is pure yellow....but from the front...it is superwhite with a purplish hint.
Try to get a piece of the yellow tint and put it on. it might just work. might decrease the light output tho. I'm assuming.

I looked forever and never found a Ion Yellow for our fogs from PIAA or other big name.
I had the Ions last car. Bulb is straight out white, but the lense has a Thin Film deposition on the inside that gives it the funky 2-tone. Works best cuz lil lumens lost and low blue light that blinds you in snow, fog, etc.

I was bored and couldn't find the ion yellow. So I just painted em. :p
1400 degree flat yellow paint on the bulb and on the housing around
the bulb. It's ghetto, but looks different. I might go hid when I
replace my cracked lens.

PIAA Plasma ion Yellow
I got the bulbs a while ago at a local Autofreak store. They are a bit pricey ~$90.00 however they are great. The only problem with PIAA's is that they don't warranty for blown bulbs so be very careful when handling bulbs. DO NOT TOUCH WITH FINGERS, unless you leave a hot spot with your oil from your hand and then they blow. Just put them in and don't mess with them. I also notice that they do run hot so don't touch the foglight housing lens/assembly immediately after you use them and turrn them off. The stock ones may also run hot too. I've gotten a lot of compliments from them and I got them more for the fogs and rain and I chose yellow because I liked the look of them on the Lexus G300/400's oem lights.

damz i thought i was the only one with ion yellow fogs!!!
Just installed some a few days ago awesome yellow tint on the ground, but they run at 80watts :wow: so i don't have them on all the time. I love the look, it's unique and stands out from stock

80 watts?? Do you have the PIAA's? PIAA Plasma Yellow Ions' are 55watts.
I've had these bulbs for couple of months now, I love em. Everything they shine on is yellow.....but when your looking at light itself it's pretty wild. Plasma like, but changes when you change the angle your viewing it from.

Well, if you want the yellow fog effect like on Lexus fog lamps understand the bulb is a regular halogen bulb but the glass is yellow green (that is what gives it it's hue).
So to get the full effect you will need some sort of yellow/green film over the fog lamps.
