Year of your acura with tranny failure
Hey I just wanted to start another poll and see if there is any correlation between the model year and tranny failure. It would be nice to know that an improvement had been made since the tranny problem first started on the 99 and they had four years to fix it.

There is no recall on the 99...from what I can tell it was the 5AT transmission. That's what Acura tells me, might be stinking liars! Interesting to see if the 2003's have less then the 2000's though.

The poll has no option for 2004 Tl ..and I personally wasn't driving when the problem occured ,but the person who was said the RPM's shot to 4000 and the car acted as if it was in neutral..it happened after going through a toll booth ,then when trying to accelerate ,the car did not want to move ,then it finally DID..but no other recurance since ..have not got the Oil Jet kit ,no recall letter yet and yes my car is in the vin range and effected.
