what was the first year that the type s was offered? wasn't it 2002? I could be wrong.

 

2002 WAS THE FIRST MODEL.....WAS AVAILABLE IN FEB 2001

 

if u mean TL-S.. then yea, 2002... if you mean CL-S.. i think 2001

 

I believe both were offered in 2001. CL was first.

01 was the intor for the CL TypeS
02 was the intro for the TL TypeS

Oh another bit of trivia, there was no 2000 CL. It went from 99 to 01.

 

Just to make it more confusing...NSXNEXT is right but both cars were available in the previous year

02 TL Type-S was available in spring of 2001
01 CL Type-S was available in spring of 2000

 

yup 02 came out april of 02

 

yeh, i didnt kno the type-s was coming out...i go ahead and get the '01 TLP, 2 months later, Type-s is introduced...DAMMIT

 

So just a recap, in the US market(Japan got Type-S models before us)

The 2001 Cl-S was the first model year of the Type S, and it started selling in 3/2000.
The 2002 TL-S came next, and it started selling in 3/01
The 2002 RSX-S came next, and it only started selling in 2002 itself.
