y2k headlamp mod

I've had my TL for like 1 year and half now and is now getting off my lazy butt to fix it up. I noticed all the pics and since my tl is black was thinking about smoking the headlamps like many of the pics. Just wanted to know how I would go about doing that? I think the lamps were cleared out with some black something inside...

You have to take the headlights apart and paint the chrome plastic inside black.
check faq's for clearing headlights.
Hope this helps.

First, you need to take it apart.
Here is instruction for that...
¢Ñ Clearing H/L ¢Ð
When you taking orange deflector out, you need to take out chrome plastic housing from H/L lens. There is little screw on top. You should have no problem taking the housing. I have one of my painter painted for me. I've used PPG CLV single stage, but you shouldn't have any problem w/any paint. Let it overnight dry it.

Here is close-up Pic....

hnmmm

those lights look pretty tight. I wanted to do that to mine cuz my tl is black also so I thought it would be a good fade. How long do you think I should melt that adhesive for? would you recomment a blowdryer? is there anything I should look out for so I don't crack my lights? (had a bad experience with my prelude lights)

Thanks
