Hi all...I have an 03 TL-S with the stock sound system...It sounds good enough on FM or CD.

I recently purchased the Delphi SkyHi2 XM radio and am using the cassette adapter to play it. I notice that most of the stations sound extremly flat....no dpeth or high end....

Any tricks to get this to sound better? A better quality cassette adapter than the Delphi one?

All help is appreciated. I am not looking to replace the sound system.

get rid of the tape adapter. look into a blitzsafe adapter,

 

Hey man, I have the same XM unit on mine. I don't have it mounted to the car since I move it back and forth between the TL and my company truck (and I don't want to drill holes or anything). I too have crappy sound from mine. My problem is bad feedback noise that will not go away. It's probably because I keep the unit in the console, have the antenna just setting on the dash at the windshield (rather than run the wire through the moulding and out to the roof). I have found that my tape adapter makes the sound richer and more amplified, BUT it's just another mess of wire that tangles up in the console. I have just lived with the crappy sound for now.

 

I have a 03 TL-S as well. I just had a Sirius StarBase installed in mine with the Blitzsafe adapter. I believe the sound quality with the Sirius is actually better than the tape deck or the radio and sometimes even better than what I got with some CDs. Best of all the Blitzsafe is a plug n play and it is worlds ahead of my old fm modulator that I had in my Accord. Just my
