XLR8 Motor Mounts; Do they require modification?

As the title says, I was wondering if the XLR8 motor mounts require any modification to be installed. If so, does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks.

Depends, i had issues with them in my 02 tls and went innovative, fit better but still needed to space the passenger mount. Had the xlr8 mounts in my 01 accord v6 with no issues. The 02-03 tls i forgot which, but i think its the front mount and frame are different than the base model

There are many posts about XLR8 mounts not fitting correctly. I wouldn't get them if you aren't prepared to modify them or use spacers.

I had fitment issues the mounts made my motor swap sit perfectly fine in my 01 accord, pulled that swap and tossed it into my 02 tls and it just wouldnt sit right. The innovative mounts had the motor sitting better just the passenger mount had to be raised a good 1inch with spacers

unfortunately I already purchased them and they came in a few days ago. I'll probably attempt to modify but we'll see how it goes

See how they fit on yours, i had to sell mine and go with innovative. The innovative mounts were the same height as the oem mounts, so they sat perfect front to back. Only issue is i had to raise the passenger mount and i will need to fab up driver side trans mounts. It is what it is, motor sits alittle higher so im not really complaining. I have a j35a3 6speed and using an 02 rear motor mount bracket. But i had the same exact setup in my accord

it's not BS.

anytime you deviate from OEM; you will lose reliability and much of the engineering aspect, of what makes OEM, OEM.
