WTF? Wacked out headlight?!

SO last night im going outside for a cigarette, and what do i notice? One of the headlights of my car is just on, without the fog light on or the blinker. I run upstairs, grab my keys, Get in the car. The Headlight is on the off position. So i put them on and then off and it shut off. Then i tested them, they seemed to be fine. I turned the car on just in case the battery was going to decide to die because i had no idea how long the headlight was on for. Never ever did this happen to me before. I woke up every 3 hours of the night just to check if it went back on. Did this ever happen to anyone before? At first i thought maybe someone was trying to jack a headlight or whatever. Thanks for any info or comment.

It got power from a always HOT source some how between the fuse box relay and the ballast. That is the only thing that comes to mind which it could of been.

I would assume so where between the battery and the fuse box then would be always hot. It would also require that the wires get crossed. It was only one headlight too.... hmmmmmm....
