WRX that?

What wuz that?

That's what the guy in the silver WRX must have been thinking.

Played around with a WRX today trying to take some back roads around an accident on the freeway.

Anyway, I never catch the guy at a light so I can be beside him, so I have to settle for right behind him.

This give him the advantage of getting the jump unless I want to risk rear ending him.

Short story, after 3 runs to 100+, all he can manage is to get a 1/2 to 3/4 car jump and then it's even to about 80 and then I ever so slightly gain on him before we have to slow down around 100-105.

I can hear the howls and whines already. "A WRX will eat our lunch". Maybe if it's modified, but stock is a fun race, with the launch going to the WRX. But once we are moving, it's a really tight race.

As BlackShasow would, my blood was pumping.

LOL...good race RUF!

A WRX will always get out of the hole faster due to AWD but I heard their top end is a different story (stock of course).

There's always a faster car at some point.

BTW - engine displacement is not an absolute in indicating a cars performance or top end. FWIW.

Anyway, those may be fast, but not faster than I've been or had. And they look best from my rear view mirror.

2.0 liters with 13.5 psi is

is a like 3.8 liters natually aspirated.....obviously the shape of the torque curve is different, but the max output is similar. 3.2 liters of air is what a naturally aspirated 3.2 liter engine pushed. WRX run low 14's stock.....people say they run out of steam up top...not sure how high they mean, but it must be over 110 mph or so.

The WRX is a faster car then the TL-S both 0-60 and quarter mile. At highway speeds you should be able to play with them, but if you get caught in the wrong gear... but the time you downshift... it'll be too late... they are quick little cars....

Like Ray_Khan said... they run out of steam up top... but so do we.... so it would be even over 100mph.....
