Wrong Site but lemme try

Hey ya all,
well i know im on the wrong site posting this question/problem, but i've always been on the site as a member of the forum and this is where i always find help!!!

The question/problem is not with my 3.2 tl... its with the 2000 honda accord wit about 47000 miles. The CEL was on, so I just took it to a shop and their diagnostic computer came up with a "Control Fuel Air Metering." anyone know what problem is there? and if the car would stall at any time or anything like that? My mom drives the car and she doesnt want to have problems with it! so im getting it fixedd... so wanna see what i should be aware of if you guys would help me out. i already had the guy try to get a hold of the price for an aftermarket product that would fix that problem. But other than that, i have absolutely no idea whats gonna happen. thanks alot everyone for any inputs and thoughts you may have!!!

Mods, please delete this or something if its inappropriate. I just had no other clue where else to go to find some help. The sites the best, always here at least 2-3 times a day. You can call it my consoler/advisor Thanks!!!

It's still under warranty. Take it in to Honda. Is it the 3.0 V6? I'd bet you that it's the EGR. Very common problem on the Honda v6 engines. You can reset the check engine light by pulling the BACKUP fuse under the hood for 30 seconds. But the light will come back on soon if you on't get that fixed.

no i dont have the v6. i have the v4 and i told them to leave the light on as a reminder to get the problem fixed. i should have told them to turn it off so that if it doesnt come back on it would have just been a false reading [which i doubt]. the problem only occurred after my mom have put in gas. she said that she didnt let the gas top click after filling it up. i think i just might take it to honda and check it out with them. would they give me free service even if i didnt buy the car there? Thanks!

okay everyone, the problem is fixed. LoL. yes to think the problem posted mayb 4 hours ago. just in case anyone wanted to know, the problem was... a hose? it was connected in the center of the engine that was connected to an electrical port on the other end. the guy took out that hose, switched it, put it back and BAM. problem fixed, CEL light gone. if anyone wanted to know, its a mechanic from a Sunoco gas station right next to staples on Sunrise highway. Redundant information, but just wanna give him credit for doing something so well and fast. the other place told me that they had to get the part from honda or some other place on monday. God knows how much that wouldve costed me. But the mechanic that fixed it charged me thirty bucks for everything. plus the 60 that was a diagnostic charge. i think its a but overcharged... but ill live. i guess ill be taking my problem from now on. Thanks for listening guys, ya all like the brothers that i never had.
