Wrecked @#!$

All involved are Ok. I was the 3rd car involved, so my front end is shot. Nothing mechanical except slight bend in radiator which will be replaced. Happened in evening Friday Rush Hour on the Long Island Expressway, 1st car stopped short, then second, then me. The sentra in the middle, totaled, got hit from both ends.
Have to say at first I thought I stopped in time and didn't hit anyone, then saw that the airbags deployed. No loud bang from the bags, no burns, not even any seatbelt pressure. The car handled great. Pics to come.

Well, 5 weeks sounds pretty quick, but if you don't have much crumple in the front then that's cool. I wouldn't trust timelines, I know I never will after my bout..... It's been 4 months now since someone ran a stop sign and smashed the TL to bits and I still don't have the car back.

I would hope not, it's been a real nightmare to say the least, but had we been 3 feet further into the intersection and my wife and I would have unfortunately found out what it like to be t-boned directly by a car going 45. Basically 3 more feet and there probably would have been fatalities, thankfully that wasn't the case. It'll all get sorted out in the end, we've got a lawyer so if the shop doesn't turn the car over to me in the same condition it was in when I bought it new then the lawyer will step back in..... The shop really pissed me off, they work on new Mercedes cars all the time, so they should know how to take care of a car. Anyhow in their labors of working on the car, they literally damaged components not involved in the accident during the repair process, how stupid is that. All I can say is take pictures the whole way, it's pretty damaging if they pull the stuff my place has pulled. I've got pictures of the car paritally disassembled and no damage to the parts, then further disassembled and now the damage is there, repaired damage still there... Hmmmm... I wonder how much the insurance would pay to see those photos since they're billing the insurance company for their screwups.
