Would RL calipers work?

Do anybody know if we could use RL calipers instead of the legend ones? RLs is a 4 piston caliper plus it says ACURA on the side.

no they dont work

best we can do without spending $1200 for a real BBK like the one pictured, which may require new rims to clear and some steering parts too..
many of us gen2 are running the front calipers designed for the nsx and legends of old

order 1995 Legend LS-C (coupe)-front calipers from your local parts store
dual piston - reduced stopping distance- less pedal fade- better overall and same price as TL calipers!
$75 each rebuilt

it'll "fit" if you get a custom bracket made. by that time you SHOULD upgrade your rotors, you might have to since the diameter is more than 12" like 12.3? 12.6? i don't recall. i believe tl brembos are 12.1"

by that time you spent way too much you could have just ordered some wilwood bbk.

I believe the Brembo BBK was an option for the type S only

3rd gens have brembos stock on 6mt

he's saying rl will fit a larger rotor and regardless these won't bolt onto a 3rd gen which also has 4-piston caliper.

PLUS an a/t 3rd gen w/o brembos will need more than just rotors + calipers to make 6mt brembos work. we're talking about knuckles, and other parts

On the 6 speeds but they arent a bolt on for the autos. There is a bunch of things needed to get them to work.

its cheaper and better to go Wilwood 6 piston calipers at that point, for the same money as a brembo 4 piston setup

Yes RL calipers will fit... but not the RL calipers you are asking about. IIRC the 1996-2004 RL's actually use the same caliper as the Legend. Someone feel free to double check/ cross reference the part numbers on the calipers.

Unless you are planning on autocross racing; the '95 Legend coupe 2-piston caliper is plenty of stopping power for our cars. That along with upgraded rotors/pads make it even more than enough performance on a daily driver.

Hmm, interesting thread. So the '95 Legend calipers would just bolt on and run fine with 00 TL? I can get the RM calipers for cheap and would be interested in switching to the dual piston calipers as I don't really like the stopping power of the ones on my TL. Let me know what I gotta do to make this little conversion happen.
