worst flaw in the TL-S (other than tranny)
Where the cup holders are in the front center console, there is a little hole to the rear, and when you have your heaters running, it blows the hot air on whatever is in the cop holders. There is nothing like a warm Pepsi to get you going.

use heat when you are cold...must be coffee warmer compliment.
I also notice that when your headlight is on, looking through the cupholder hole, the light in the center console is also always on...no switch to turn on and off when you open and close. It is cheap...but its no biggie. Transmission is the big conern to me. That is when you empty your wallet big time.

I love both of my acuras, but everytime i think of the transmission i sigh and wait for the next one to die on me other than that i think i am pretty happy with the cars. I love the motor, I personally am a big fan of both the Nissan VQ series and the motors in our TLz and CLz. If only they can come out with the a transmission that wont crapp out on you every now and then, heck i wont even mind paying an extra grand if it came with a warranty stating that it would atleast last as long as the motor is alive.

The worst flaws
I would have to say that the worst flaws, apart from the tranny, are in this order:
1) Exterior Paint - Not very durable. Hood and front bumper area chip too easily.
2) Difficulty of stock audio headunit in reading CD-Rs
3) Leather seats - The trim of our seats are actually vinyl, which makes them vulnerable to cracking overtime.
4) The Coin Box - Coins fall behind and get jammed, which is why I use the center console's top level compartment to store my coins. WHO DESIGNED THIS COIN BOX!!

After installing my stereo system, I was ticked that the trunk is so airtight, the bass doesn't come through as well as in other cars. If I could flip the rear seats down, it would hit harder, and I wouldn't have had to spend so much money to buy a more powerful system to make up for the sound loss.

The glass fog light lense break too easy. Should have used plastic instead since they sit low in the bumpers.

1. If you want to see paint that chips too easy you should see my 2002 Maxima, it is dark blue with grey freckles now.
2. No problems here hearing my burned CD's.
3. Yes. fake leather driver's seat did split on the side closest to the door.
4. IT'S NOT A COIN BOX!!!!

It's actually the center console heating up because the vents for the rear seats run through the center console directly under the cup holders. the heat radiates from the plastic vents to the plastic center console thus heating the cup holders.. it's not hot air coming from the hole in rear of your cupholders, even if you've incorrectly connected the vents together after removing the center console, it would blow the rear vent air into the cavity in the center console forcing the air out between the console and the carpet.

That's because your seat will no longer be bolted to your seat/car anymore... .. You can simply remove the bolts holding the back part of the rear seat down ( if that jumble of words is clear, lol).
The seat has three hooks on the back of it allowing no bolts or screws to be needed to "mount" the seat in ON THE TOP.. the bottom of the rear seat has brackets that hold the seat down, and coincidentially keep the rear seat in the car.
If you need to take the rear seat down, you can easily either take out the three bolts beside the rear seatbelts in a couple of min and then pop the seat out, or you can leave the bolts out (like fsttyms1) but for goodness sakes.... if you ever want to sell that car, DON'T CUT OFF THE BRACKETS THAT BOLT THE REAR SEAT TO THE CAR... you will have to buy a new rear seat just to bolt it back to the car.

My main gripe is the fact that the largest tire you can fit without some rubbing (under all conditions) is a 225 width one - that is horrible for a "performance sedan"

Yea , I got that problem . Never thought about it much. Gess I'm just used to reachin my hand in between the post and seat to pull it up , much like a woman and her bra strap. Another thing is , I never turn the car off , take the key out , and then reach down to release the seat buckle with the key still in my hand . Too
afraid of scratchin the trim that runs along the side of the consel . I could complain about the soft paint but that' a problem with all new cars today.
Gess,,,,,,, I'm jus kinda happy with my TL-S .
