I KNEW THE SEARCH IS FULL OF WAYS TO GET RID OF MY PROBLEMS AFTER LOOKING THROUGH 25 PAGES IT DIDNT REALLY HELP ME.....I GOT A 2000 MONTEREY BLUE 3.2TL AND THERE ARE SCRATCHES ALL OVER THE TRUNK AND DOORS OF THE CAR...IN THE SUN ALL THE SCRATCHS AND SWIRL MARKS ARE DRIVING ME NUTS....IT MADE ME THINK OF GETTING A PAINT JOB BUT I WOULD ONLY GET A PRO JOB WHICH WILL RUN ME ABOUT $5000 AND THATS WAY TOO MUCH......CAN YOU GUYS HELP ME...I WANNA NEW LOOKING CAR WITH NO SCRATCHES OR MARKS ANYWHERE...BY THE WAY THERE ARE NO DEEP SCRATCHES SO I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET IT TO LIKE BRAND NEW.....I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME BECUZ THIS IS REALLY MAKING MY CAR LLOK BAD AND YOU KNOW HOW GORGEOUS OUR TLs LOOK.....

 

How about you get it professionally detailed? Thay should take out 99% of the swirls. Plus its a lot better than getting a new paintjob.

Just take it to a detailer and he'll knock that hazing right out. To those guys it's easy cuz they see it every day. Then ask him how they got there in the first place. You have to wash and wax your car a certain way or it will happen again. I have the same color; at the factory they were painted in a FLAT blue and then a clear coat to protect it. The clear coat gives it the shine and gives all of us the additional advantage of being able to be polished down to a very slightly thinner coating to shine like new again. It is made to do that. Wash the car ONLY with car wash soap, never dish detergent. ONLY use a car wash mitt and a second one to do the wheels as brake dust in car wash water is a no no. Do them LAST. Before washing blast off all the junk thrown up behind the wheels on the lower fenders. Wash car from top to bottom and dry ONLY with a bathroom type towel or chamois. Rinse the mitts well when done and when they get old get a new ones. That should do it. Avoid automatic car washes.

 

thanx a lot chuck....IF THIS BOTHERS YOU GUYS THEN YOU HAVE PROBLEMS.....So your saying i should wash the car my self all the time, where can i get a washing mit like that from??And when i take it to a detailer they prob wont use that Zaino wax everybody talks about so wont the problem start again...I did some body work to the car and when i got it back from my auto body shop detailed thats when i started having these problems...I figure they didnt wax it right....How about my 1000000000 scratches that show hardcore on blue.??
