Worn steering wheel

Has anyone had a problem with their steering wheel wearing where you grab it??? And if so, did you take it to the dealer to be replaced??? Was it covered under warranty???

I have an '03 and took mine to the dealer for a developing "rough" area on top of the steering wheel where I grap it. The service advisor said all he could do was order me a new wheel, which is fine by me as long as its coverered under warranty.

unfortunately, I think the steering wheel would be considered a "wear" item, and won't be covered under warranty...unless of course it somehow broke, not trying to give you any ideas, but maybe if the steering wheel somehow no longer functioned as it should (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) you could have it replaced...

not trying to imply anything here

They do warranty the sterring wheel. I had the exact same problem a couple of months ago, just make sure that they know that you know that it IS a warrany item.
