Wood Steering Wheel
Im looking into buying the acura one for my TL but I dont know the difference between the perforated and non perforated wheels. What's the difference and does it make a difference which one I get?

The one with the perforated leather was made to match the interior of the TL-S. Other than that there is no difference. I have the perforated on mine, personally I think the solid leather would be easier to keep clean.

You can get one from Acura of Escondido Parts ... They are actually an acura dealership but they also sell on ebay. They have both types in taupe and black for $360.

Here's mine, non-perforated, for the TL-P.
If you have a TL-P, I'd get the non-perforated. If you get the TLS perforated wheel, it won't match your leather. Non-perforated is smooth(see images below), perforated has little holes all over the place:

that looks real nice...just the right amount of wood in the car, not too much, not too little. if you put anymore wood in the car, for ex around the gauge cluster and vents, then it would be overkill. now you have me thinking about the wood wheel!
can you tell me what year is your TL?

Appreciate the compliments TLover.
That's the look I was going for, just enough wood accent to bring out the interior, but not too much.
I have a 2003 TL-P.

that wood looks great in a dark interior. i think it looks like crap in the Fern interior (mine) i wish the black wood would have been a option, i could never get a wood wheel the way i drive. i need the leather!

I replaced the steering wheel myself in my '99 and it wasn't hard. There's a DIY floating somewhere on this site. You have to disconnect and remove the airbag though. It might seem intimidating at first, but it's not a big deal. Good luck.

yeah, i looked into this a few months ago....it'll cost around $500 with installation from the dealer. dunno, but I'M definitely not gonna touch the airbag. it'll look really hot, but maybe i'll do it next year or something. (blackwood in my case)
