Wood Steering Wheel
Wood Steering Wheel
After doing a search and reading around, I'm still somewhat confused about the wood steering wheel that can be transplanted into my '00 TL. The instructions i found by teh way are awesome.
So if I were looking for the wheel, what is the easiest way to acquire it, which wheel should I use (Accord, MDX, TLS, CLS?), and what should I expect to pay.
Also, how did people get past the special bolt that most airbags have on them? I know they put a bolt on there which has a hard-to-find wrench in order to prevent airbag thefts. Any hints? thanks!

Just bring it to the dealer. They will not going to charge too much since it's pretty simple if you have right tool. According to other members, it's less than $100.00. Good luck!!!

Just don't buy one thats off a mdx, they won't fit. The mdx's is not as shallow as the one for the TL. I installed on from the 98-2002 accord and it fits perfect. And you really don't need any special tools, once you get the airbag and screws off...you just give it a pull and the steering wheels comes off. Make sure you disconnect your negative battery cable. good luck
thanks for the advice. Will try it when i get back. I didnt know accords came with a wood wheel option! why wasnt that an option for TLs?? (all i remembre was a shift knob avail. in wood).
