Wood grain wheel - Q's

Azine -

Installed a wood grain steering wheel on the TL tonight and I have two questions:

1. What does this connection control? (circled in red below) What happens if I drive with it uplugged?

2. Why is my new wheel crooked (looks as if I'm turning left) when I am going straight?

I lined up the splines with the wheel straight using the marks on the spines - And moved it one spline forwards and back to find the straightest the wheel could be - But it isn't perfectly straight. Are there adjustments to be made?

that is your horn wire. it attaches to a point on the airbag.

as for your other question, make sure the wheels are straight before taking the steering wheel off.

Oh THANK HEAVENS! Ripped it straight out when the old wheel popped off the spindle.. was hoping it wasn't some sort of secondary/auxillary power for SRS system..

Alright, I did do that, but it was dark out - I'll double check in the AM.
