Question window tint price?

I got a quote for $189 for 5 windows. It is using formula 1. Is that expensive? Anyone in the Los Angeles area know of any good places to go to get it done?

I got it for $180 at a place in Monrovia, CA. The place is VIP Center on Myrtle. Metallic film (not mirror) by Quantum. Life time guarantee, no bubbles or fading.

My tint job was also around $225 after tax, with no inside track. I had to pay extra for having the back window done in one piece.

I think this price will vary from place to place and also by region of the country (it seems everything just costs more in the NYC metro area). Try to negotiate, but usually these places are busy enough that they don't have to give you $50 off just to get your business.

And if not, maybe there's a reason. Don't just cruise for the best price -- check out their work! This is by far the biggest factor. I went with the shop I did after
checking out a few examples of their handiwork (cars they had finished and were
waiting to be picked up). Some places only had pieces of tinted glass, like factory samples, to show, which tells you nothing about how the tinters there actually apply the stuff on real car windows.
