Will not start

It's cranking but not starting. New fuel pump and spark plugs. I just found out I am using a valet key. Could that be the reason it's not starting? Plenty of gas in it but it sounds like there is no gas is getting through. Please help!!!

How are you determining that it "sounds like no gas is coming through?"

Have you replaced the battery or starter?

It's "coughing." Someone mentioned that the key has been deactivated because it IS a valet key and I need the original black key.

Guess the best way to rule that out is to use a normal key

Valet Key works the same as a Normal Key on the 2G..
The only use for the Valet Key is that it cannot unlock the glove box and wont allow you to open the Trunk with the button.

I wonder if the chip just died... Put the key on the Ignition and turn it to Position II (Dashboard lights up, Ready to start the car DO NOT CRANK IT) do you see a small flashing green key light on the dashboard???
Keep seeing it and see if it goes away after a while.. If it never turns off the key chip is not being detected.
