Will this look any good...?

I got a brand new silver tl-s and I am planning to do the following mods (i have already ordered all this stuff)...

-sunroof wind deflector (dealer gave it to me for 'free')
-wings west spoiler
-side skirts (not the whole kit)
-debadged in the back
-clearcorners done by Ron
-superwhite foglights replacements
-exhaust tips

Also when the winter is over I am gonna look in chrome 18's. I also dont care too much for performance mods because hell, my car's performence suits me just fine. But I gotta admit it would be pretty cool to pull up to a stock tl-s and win a race.

It'll look nice... The chrome doesn't really suit me though...

There are two things I'm not keen on...the chrome rims on a silver car (I think anthricite would look much better)...and the side skirts only ( I think you should go with the whole kit or no kit at all.)

But like I've said before to others...the final decision is yours. Do what makes you happy.

Drop with some springs too. That will give the car the "look" that you are going for, and it will enhance the look of the body kit perfectly. Not to mention you will have to drop the car if you plan to get 18's otherwise you will look like you have an off road vehicle

LOL!!

Funny you should mention that. I saw a Civic the other day with 17's or 18's that wasn't dropped. It looked RIDICULOUS.

Well I dont know too much about the subject as you can see, but why would it look so bad to put 18's on and not drop it?

If you get 18's, you should maintain the same overall tire diameter as stock (not sure, but I think it's 25 inches or so). That means, getting a lower profile tire when you get 18's (usually). With the smaller sidewall of a low profile tire, the wheel gap actually looks bigger than it is... an optical illusion, if you will. It's just more pronounced. If that bothers you, you need to either get a combination of 18's and tires that fill up the wheel gap ( just kidding, do NOT do that), or lower your car. No need to slam, just lower. You will like the increased handling of the lower profile tires, and stiffer springs, trust us. (H&R Sports can be had for under $250, including install)

I read on Tirerack's website that the size of the wheel gap should be smaller than the height of the tire's sidewall in order to avoid the optical illusion that your car looks lifted.

Basically, if there's a 3" gap from the top of the tire to the fender, the sidewall on your tire should be less than 3" tall. If the new tire has a 1.5" sidewall, the gap should be 1.5" or less.

You NEED to lower your car if you put bigger rims on or it'll look BAD.

You need to drop the car. Comptechs are a good spring to go with. Also, chromes aren't the best choice in my opinion, but they aren't a horrible choice. Some people here have chrome Alstadts which look good.

yeah, definitely do the whole kit / no kit at all...

cuz they've different height...doing the side only will make the middle lower than the front and back...which is kinda strange... at least IMO.

the rest are more of your personal taste and everything you add distinct you from the rest of the TLs
