hey

i have comptech axelbacks, which will give me a louder and deeper sound without sounding like a fartcan and da sound of backfire. i have a 2000 TL.

a) just remove both resonators

b) buy the magnaflow 18" resonator and remove the bigger resonator

c) buy the 18" resonator and remove both the big and small resonator

i wanna get this done asap so please comment on which option.

i would remove both and get 1 18" and try that. I have both removed and the quiet tip inserts in for a decent sound. I may put in a 12-14 inch res this summer when i do a custom cat back to comptech muffler set up

the 18" resonator replaces the stock resonator closest to the y pipe right? also by replacing and removing these resonators does it mess with emissions or wutever during inspection?

I agree with fsttymes1, remove both and add an 18inch resonator. My set up will be identical to yours but with a 22inch Magnaflow resonator. Removing the resonators will not cause you to fail your "inspections". We call it getting a break tag down here hahaha.

I have Comptech axle backs and I removed the larger resonator. It sounds awsome! I'm used to it after having it for about a week now. The droning is a bit much on the highway. I should have my quiet insert tips from EXCELERATE by next week. Hopefully I won't have to make anymore modifications to my exhaust once I have those.
