..just went out driving last night....cruising around in the S... I was out on the bypass around Indy (I-465) and it was about 1 in the morning. I was just tooling along at about 63 mph when these headlight come up on me pretty fast. I was just minding my own business....well he saw my ride (debadged) and slowed down and paced me about 2 cars back. I dont know if he was trying to figure out what it was or thought I was just a stock TL-P. Anyway...he came up beside me and paced then went ahead of me by about 2 cars. Thats when I saw it was a Ford Contour SVT. Well....I didnt do anything, just continued along. I guess he didnt like that and dropped back again....about 15 car lengths behind and then punched it and came up next to me and slowed down. Dropped back again and did the same thing. Well...being 1 or so in the morning, and the fact that the road ahead had nothing on it...the next time he did this I just put it to the floor. I was so proud of my baby...just walked away from the contour!! By the time I hit 115 he was about 20 car lengths back and losing ground steadily. I backed off and he did too....and guess what....no more running up next to me...he got off at the next exit!

Be careful with the tours, with a good driver and some small mods they can pull low to mid 0-60 times and high 13's early 14's in the quater. I should know, i owned one before the TL. Heavly modded, but gave me nothing but probs. Wasa fun car though, he will take you in the twisties with ease. just dont sleep on them.

I actually considered getting one once...... I figure Im making somewhere near 300+ ponies with the header and K&N. That header makes a NOTICEABLE difference in the accelleration of the S! It also growls a lot more between the header and the filtercharger...very nice sound....

.....love this car more every day...
