Why wont my trunk open?

All fuses are fine and checked the switch in the glove box to make sure it's on but for 2 months now my trunk button isn't working. Anyone else encounter this issue?

what about the `emergency release handle`--
just inside the trunk -thru the rear seat center pull down section
