Who'd win: 00 TL-P or 04 Miata
Both cars are bone stock. I have no clue what Miata's can do other than serve as great tractor-trailer speed bumps. Just curious as to which car would come out ahead.... Does anyone have any experience or numbers? (I would assume straight line would be the TL, but in the curves would be the Miata...) Thanks!

TL most likely. Unless your driving down a really windying road, the Miata might win cause it's smaller and easier to handle, but the TL should win overall.

they make a "Monster Miata" special ordered I think.. it comes witht he 5.0L Mustang engine!!!
That would slaughter us..... but a regular miata I would pick-up and put in my trunk.....

I own both a 01 TL AND a 94 Miata. (the 04 Miata has only about 15 more HP I thnk)
The TL is a few seconds faster on a 0-60 launch.
But with the first curve the Miata, in a capable divers hand, would
blitz by. People make fun of those little things but I'll tell you they
are quite capable or racing in a pinch. An autocross dream car.
Now my 94 Miata is suspension modified (no need to lower it), wider
tires, and supercharged (only 6.5 psi). It's a blast to drive.
Just a little bit more wind noise at 80 mph though :^)
Not knocking my TL though. Love it. Just not the kind of vehicle
I'd consider racing.
