who thinks this will work....

ok...im thinking of modifying my turnsignal l ight and the little marker light so they will do this...
1. the turn signal will become just a parking lihgt..and it will always be on and never blink...and it will be white to match hids....
2. i use that marker light and it will never turn on with the pakring lights...but it will blink whenever i signal....it will be amber...

does anyone think this is possible and legal, is that marker light big enough to be a turnsignal?

i like this idea because i stay legal and my parking lights will math my headlights...

Not a bad idea...or, you could have your turn signals just come when you only signal and stay off all the other times.

To do this, all you would have to do is put in a 1156 single filament bulb right... I would assume.

Well the shine from the HIDs takes care of that.

in theory it should work. But the problem is that when the turn signal blinks, it may not be bright enough to be noticiable to other drivers

Yup that will work. The second filament in the 1157 is the one that blinks.

Do the little nubs (contacts) on the bottom match up? Putting the 1156s into the 1157 sockets?

I am sure this can be done with 4 spdt relays to swap the input of the parking lights and side markers.

If you don't want the corner lights to stay on, just cover up one of the prongs with some electrical tape. All you have to do is figure out which one is for blinking and which one is for the parking light.

YOU should turn your turn signals into daytime running lights and turn signals. like the GM DRL

OH wait you dont want DRL. Ok same principal just when the lights are turned on.
