White tl's interior colour question! Please help!
Help guys! I found a really good deal on an 02 WDP TL-S. However, the interior is tan and I've always been a fan of black interiors. The owner told me that if I wanted the car in white, it wouldn't be possible for a black interior, because they all came with tan interiors. Is that really true?? PLEASE HELP!!!
I have a black 04 TL with Camel interior. (is that what you're calling tan?) It looks nice but hard to keep clean when driving in the winter. Not even 2 years and the floormats and carpet look horrible. I've tried some carpet cleaners like resolve and they help but it stills looks bad.
Stick with the black interior. My slightly older 03 MDX has black interior and it looks much better even with my kids making a mess of it. My kids are never in the TL and it looks worse.
From this point , I am only going to buy silver/black vehicles. Keeping my black/tan TL clean is getting to be way too much work for my liking.

I believe the second gen TL was indeed available in WDP with a black interior, but this combination is very rare. Not sure what years, country, etc, but I remember reading about a few folks here who have one.
I've never, ever seen a second gen WDP TL or TL-S with a black interior. Are we sure it was ever available? I don't think it was but prove me wrong.
BTW I'd get tan, personally. My TL has a black interior and ages like shit. Same for the Accord EX-V6 I had with black. Looks terrible in a year, while my cars with tan interiors have lasted much longer looking new.

I hate black interior. It looks like shit after two years. Every spec of dust shows and the leather seems to dry up and harden. The tan-leather equipped TLs that are my year (02) still have soft leather. My problem was so bad the dealers had to replace the seat bottom leather.
And, yes, I did take care of it with conditioning. I will never have another black interior, and the only reason I have this one is because I love Anthracite and had to have it.

Since 03CoupeV6 is so opinionated I'll do that same. Tan interior imo is just nasty looking. Just something about that light tan and gray/brown does nothing for me. Go with the black, much sportier looking and you get the black marble wood grain! As for dust speckles, well dust is everywhere, if your anal about it, swiffer sweeper clothes are your best freind. Good luck in your search for a car

It definitely exists. There's one for sale now in Boston with that color combo (it's a rebuilt title though). Anyway, you can use the fact that the car is not your preferred color as a bargaining chip to bring down the price.
