white dimond pearl
how come this is so hard to find? i just bought my wife one and the only way I could get one in that color was to buy the type-s. Now, dont get me wrong, me being a man, loves the additional power, so I am not complaining, just curious....

I think Acura limits the number of white TL/TLS's (like only 20% of all of them can be white?), I think. Someone said something along those lines a while back.
By the way, nice taste. I like it without the OEM spoiler, too, but I have some gold trim on mine.

In my case, at the time I was buying, there were only a few in the Chicago area with the navigation system, and they weren't willing to deal much. I was going to wait another year, but I was getting an oil change and the dealer had one with a spoiler in the showroom. I fell hard for it, that color made me decide not to wait. When I was negotiating, that dealer told me "I could do that price for one in Firepepper, but not the White Diamond Pearl." Ended up going somewhere else and got it for $2k under sticker.
A month later, a good friend of mine went out and bought the same exact car.
I get lot's of compliments and second looks with mine, especially when it's clean (which mine is almost always).
Congrats, great choice!

That's so nice! I want the White one!! And I'm having some problems with it. There's only one left with ebony interior down here in So Cali. And if they don't give me a good deal..then it's either I special order it...or pick another color. It will be a 2 month wait for special order...maybe I can have them add the DRL HUH? ooooh....getting ideas.....

Welcome to the WDP club, baby! This is my first white car and I absolutely love it!! Somethin' about that "pearl" that just brings out the color. I've never received so many thumbs-up signs in my life!
Enjoy your new ride... Ooops, I mean, I hope your WIFE enjoys her new ride!
Oh, by the way... I live in Northern Cali -- but I had to fly down to Southern Cali to find my WDP!
Later,
V.

WDP popular in FL too
When shopping for my wife's car, dealer was "out of white" in the 02 here also. He did have 2 of the 01 in WDP w/nav. We settled on the one with Nav/wing/wood group for $27K. Being certified, it also came w/100K bumper2bumper and was elgible for the 5.9% rate for HondaAmerica. Wife couldn't be happier. After seeing the 03CL pics, I was suprised to see the similarity in both the wheels and grill to my 01. Now just need 02 tails. Good Luck!
I was considering the WDP oem body kit, but many have stated the color does not match perfectly - (WDP on the plastic) so still waiting on that. Yours looks great - bet your wife will love it!

Yah, as others have stated, Acura is limiting the number of WDP's sold, and they do have color-matching problems between the metal and plastic paint.
Maybe they're limiting it because of the paint problems?

thanks for the reply everyone
I really love this car. I know my wife is very happy with it also. I find myself making excuses to go drive it. Like "hunnie, I need to go buy some stamps, I am going to take your car". The power is outstanding along with the navigation system. I am very glad I went with the type-s over the regular TL. The extra cost is well worth it. I could even tell a difference in the way the seats felt.
However, I feel I got screwed at the dealer due to the fact the salesman would barely budge on the price due to the color and package (White Dimond Pearl, Type-s, Navigation). I paid 32k plus TTL. Sticker was 33,550.
But the car sold itself. I forgot all about the ass whoopin the salesman put on me when I drove the car off the dealership lot and went home. I was happy.
Thanks again,
Jason

I can grudgingly understand paying sticker for a car that's in demand, but I will NEVER pay OVER sticker for a car! It's instantly lost and it doesn't carry over into the residual value.
As for the color mismatch, yeah that's true. I notice a slight difference between where my rear bumper and the wheel well meet. It's more noticeable when the car is dirty. It's not enough to bug me and quite honestly, I'm afraid they would make it worse. I'm very anal about my car, so if it's not bugging me, it's not that bad, but that's the rreason why i haven't gotten the body kit.
Enjoy!

JasonHouTx, you may want to remove your front lisence plate (if it's legal in Texas), or turn it upside down like some people have. I took mine off two days after I got it so I could wash the car, and noticed little scuff marks on the bumper from the plate holder. Took some serious buffing to get out, then nice waxing. If you don't want to do either, I think some people have put velvet material on the plate holder so it won't scuff up the paint too much. Same goes with the mud flaps if you're considering the bodykit.
Enjoy the car, I'm loving the looks I get with mine.

Parchment interior. I got mine without the nav system (didn't need it--never need directions : )
I wanted silver with my TL-S, but I didn't like the black wood trim so I ended up with white and parchment. I'm not sorry and I am happy to have gone with the WDP. I get complemented on it pretty regularly. Mine cost me 30,500 (before taxes) and I couldn't get the salesman to budge beyond that but he threw in the gold pinstripe (I added a gold emblem kit which raised the price from 30300 to 30506. So you didn't get a bad deal--but you said it best: the car sold itself, and you were happy afterward! I think you will remain happy for some time to come. I have mine three months now and the grin hasn't left my face : )

The dealer where my GF got her car (Santa Monica Acura), they had 3 on the lot, 1 regular, and 2 Type-S. We were acutally looking for a blue TL but they didn't have any in stock. So we ended up with the white one. Looks very sharp in person and I'm really glad that we got it.

We got it beginning of December. I'm pretty sure that one of them had NAV but a couple was looking at that one. Don't know if it sold or not.
