Wasn't sure how to do a search, so I thought I would post my question. My friend has decided to buy a used TL Type S. He was wondering for 2001 or 2002, if the Type S came in white with black interior? If so, what is the name of the (white) color?

Type S on came out in 2002. And the white color is called White Diamond Pearl or WDP for short. I have WDP with black interior..It's a hard color combination to find, so it will be especially hard to find a used one. White with Tan interior is a much easier color combo to get.

 

I ALSO HAVE WDP WITH EBONY. YOU DONT SEE MANY OF THEM.

The White Pearl/Ebony combination is only available
in the TLS. That is the main reason I went to the
TL to the 'S'. . . .wanted the dark interior (which in
my opinion really looks sharp).
Had the tan interior in my Legend and it gets
tiresome after awhile. And, they are hard to find,
most of the White Diamond's come with Tan.

hi have an 03 WDP Type S and when i put a deposiite on this they had one on the lot which is the reason y i had to give em 2 bills to hold it cuase i was goin on vacation the next day...when i came to pick up the car i was told that they recieved so many calls from other dealerships who wanted to trade i agree the white w tan is old.....its almost like what i call early 90's hunter green remeber when everyone who wanted or had a cherokee had hunter green as well as BMW.........

 

I just test drove a white/ebony '02 TL-S with 28k today. I'm not sure I'm going to get it though. There's something about the car that just didn't grab me. If you're in Atlanta, I can give you the dealer's name.
