Where to start? 2000 tl-p
Hey guys, I need some help. I've had TL for a while now and overall I love the car, but it could stand to be a bit more exciting than the stock from. I just can't seem to figure out were to start. I have about $1500 to play with, so not really a whole lot. And at least for now fun to drive mods are more important than looks. Any suggestions?

TEIN coilovers are the best suspension upgrade, but if you dont want to spend the money get some new sways and lowering springs. Also, maybe get an intake or remove the resonator for a little bit of power as well as a louder noise at WOT

Hmmmm, I did some looking and the TEIN SS coilovers look really interesting, but do they help enough to justify the price? I mean the TL is a big heavy car and body roll is inevitable so I guess my question is, for the people who do have them, do you think it was worth it?
Oh and I already went ahead and pulled the intake resonator and man do I love the sound now. Nothing like free power and noise.

my TL is on Tein SS dropped with about a finger gap left on the hardest dampening. handles real well on smooth roads, hugs it nice and tight, till you go over a bump, then that jolts. but you can always adjust it to soft.
you live in texas so there's no snow, just get a nice set of shocks and springs for a drop. should run i dunno, 500-600? with 1000 left, it depends on your style. you like the look and comfort or the spirited driving? if spirited get a set of dc headers for about 350 new, if you're lucky you can find a good intake on the black market for 150-200, else they're pricey new, ~250. that'll get you a nice growl when v-tec hits and adds a good amount of HP. you should have 3 or 400 bucks left over. throw on some tints or something.
you CAN get rims with 1600, this set with tires, mounting, balancing and lug nuts for 1200

and with 400 you can somehow work out a drop. if you're ridin with bigger wheels and no drop it looks like ass

Ok, so after some more searching, I think this is what I've come up with for my todo list:
>Progress Rear Anti-Roll Bar 24mm
>Headers
>Springs and Shocks
>Wheels and Tires
So now I have a ton of questions...
1. Why should I go for the DC Sport Headers when the XS ones are only $100 and don't seem to have too many problems?
2.What type of springs and shocks should I be looking for if I want handling to be a greater priority than ride height?
3. So my current tires are getting ready to go and I wont be able to afford new wheels for quite a while, so can I wrap some wider lower profile tires on my stock rims? Like some 215/55/16 or even 225/55/16?
I know that's a lot of questions but I really appreciate all the feedback
