I usually put mine under the passengers seat facing backwards ( the back passengers side feet would be). I find it easier to reach back under the seat to change magazines instead of bending foward to reach under the seat where my eyes cant see the road. I haven't installed my changer in my TL yet so I'm not sure if it even fits there, it may not due to the power seats.

I have that changer, i mounted it under the passenger seat. There is nothing in the way. I just used a couple of strips of velcro that i bought from Home Depot and stuck it as far under the passenger seat as possible. The only problem ive had was people in the back seat accidently kicking the face and knocking that slide cover off track. No biggie, perfectly happy with the location.

I have my changer in the navi rack in the trunk. I don't have Navi in my car, so I bought the rack from Acura for ~$25. Modified the rack so the Alpine changer would fit.

I did the same in my 1999 with my CHAS-634. Perfect place. Since it does MP3's, I don't care too much about keeping it close.
