I wouldn't worry about over oiling too much.. It is too little ammount of liquid to actually harm the engine. A couple high revs and you will pull enough air through that filter it will take care of any xtra oil.

I just bought K&N and Dropd it in. (I saw pre-oiled tag on the filter so..)
Do I have to oil it every time I wash the filter?

yes, you will have to oil the filter after each wash. the oil is what traps the minute dust particles. i wouldn't suggest over oiling the filter. the filter doesn't need to be wash frequently just take it out occasionally and drop it on the floor to release trapped dust. ...

check out http://www.knfilters.com. local autopart store should carry the item. do not substitute oil from a different manufacturer...

Performing some research, the cheapest site I was able to find K&N performance filter (replacement filter / drop in) is at www.fox-performance.com for $37.28 including shipping.
