when should the thermostat be replaced and coolant be flushed?
hey guys when is it time to get the thermostat replaced and have a coolant flush recently my car has been overheating when the ac is turned on and fan stays on after the car is turned off sometimes for like 15 mintues,my cars almost at 240km i had the timing waterpump done at 220 so should i get the coolant flush and thermostat replaced? should i change the rad also?

the coolant should have been replaced at the water pump service and be good for 5 years
thermostat- whenever it dies and wont regulate temp
if you get hot engine temp with ac on I would inspect the radiator for flow rate
Dont keep getting it hot past halfway or there will be damage internally that shows up in 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!
the passenger side fan must run with ac on- ck that
If driver fan runs 15 miutes after stopped car- its probably the fan temp sensor
located lower right/pass side bottem corner of radiator-very common failure
(iirc 99 sensor was on the thermostat-later years on rad)

ck rad hoses for softness or soft spots anywhere on it-
those mean the hose can collapse and not flow any coolant thru them
