When does the Lemon Law Apply???

too many problems with my TL-S, lemon law???
I am so mad at Sierra Acura and my acura service people. They have my 2002 black TL-S for two weeks now. I am driving a 2000 integra for a loaner car all this time. There was a couple of things wrong with my car. 1. Water bubbles everywhere. 2. Sunroof rattles. So they told me they will repaint 3 panels of my car and fix the sunroof. So they finally called me today and told me is okay to come pick up my car. When I showed up, my car was so dirty. It seem like my car went off-roading. And ALSO I had an extra door-ding out of no where. Is not a small ding, but a very noticeable ding!!! Not only that, but my sunroof is 10x's worst than before!!! And that's not the end of it all, there was still so many water bubbles in my paint everywhere. They gived back the Integra to me and said they will fix the problems again.
How many times do they have to fix my problem? And how does the California Lemon Law Work???

let me just put it this way:
read my thread about my g/f's car (under 700 miles driven and it has gone through 2 trannies) and then read about your mishaps....a car's a lemon if there's something wrong that makes it not driveable and what not....not b/c of some water bubbles. and judging by the guys' comments, even my g/f would have a tough time having her car consider to be a lemon

Ok, I saw Lemon Law, LOL I have given back my corvette Z06 because of oil issues. Now, the lemon law you do understand is diefferent in almost every state. But like mp3coupe said, in NJ it is bringing the car in 3 times or more for the same problem (which has to be some mechanical problem that would effect the way it drove). OR 15 days consecutively out of service (the dealer has the car and you are NOT driving it). I am not sure about CA, but I think it is more times of bringing it back (maybe 5)? It was the biggest struggle and took forever, but you have to call the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and open a case and get a case #. Then you have to write a dealer a final fix letter and give them a last chance to fix the car. My car was consuming about 12 quarts of oil every 3000 miles. They took the whole engine apart and re-ringed it, but no luck. I asked for a new engine, but they didn't want to do it (sux to be them). Because now they either had to give me an '02 or my money back (thanks to the BBB). And this was a lease! How great was that. I got to drive the car around for 8 months and ended up paying 387.00 Let me tell you right now, the dealer will do anything they can about not letting the headquarters know about the car if it does turn out to be a lemon. NEVER LISTEN TO THEM! If you think your car is bad call the BBB and ask them what you should do I am glad to help out anyway possible. I didn't know the first thing about it, so I just took all the necessary steps and read about the whole thing. if it wasn't for the forums, I would prob. have let the dealer to whatever and just kept dumping oil in it.

As stated before it varies state to state, I just used it on my 01 Cobra and it worked out well for me.

I went through the Lemon Law last year on a Chrysler that I owned. The car has to be in 3 times for the same manchanical (sp) problem or out of service for 30 days within the warranty period. Make sure you document everything, who you talk to on the phone and at the dealership.
Call Acura and complain. See if you can make an appointment with the Regional Rep to discuss the problems Try another dealer, to have them fix the problem.
BTW the owner of Sierra is Lathop Hoffman, and his office is in Monrovia, I believe at his Saturn dealership.

Thank you guys so much.
Here's an update:
I'm going back to Sierra Acura this afternoon to walk over my car again. Most likely they will re-paint my whole car. And they are going to give me an RSX or TL. I hope I get to see or drive my car this month.

dude, if they were repainting my whole car this early I would be demanding a new one. Repainting will kill your resale, even if it is done by the dealer and all.
Repainting a two week old car is not acceptable in my book.

Sorry man, I misread your post. I thought you said you had it two weeks, now that I read it again I see the dealer has had it for two weeks.
Anyway, personally I would be raising all kinds of $hit with the dealer and Acura. A 30-35K car should not need to be repainted in the first year, I would get an Acura field rep involved.
If you leased the car then who really cares, just get good documentation so that when you turn it in they don't hit you for having most or all of the car painted.
Don't mean to scare you buddy, but my 01 TL was repainted in the RR 1/4 and it looked perfect when it was done. I went to sell it a few months later and an old couple picked out the body work much to my surprise.

update:
Right when i drove up into the service area, they kissed my BUTT like crazy. They gived me a new RSX for a loaner car. Only 3k miles. They will fix all my dings and etc. They are repainting 3/4 of the cars. So far so good.
