Wheel Bearing Gone again...?

Hey guys, as some might remember I went through a lot of trouble this past summer fixing all my wheel bearings. Now roughly 4 months later, my left front bearings are gone again! ...I will be getting it replaced tonight, but just wanted to know what could have caused the bearing to go bad so quickly? I did not hit anything like the curb or pot holes, any ideas?

Thanks,
SS

Id say either some really serious abuse on your behalf or possibly defective bearings and or improper installation.

Hmm, judging by your signature, you don't have any suspension mods, and you are running the stock wheels. That makes it more puzzling.

I don't abuse my car in the slightest, but my front wheels are slightly out of balance in the front...maybe that could have caused it? and yes AMGala my suspension is still stock, planning on lowering it in the summer

Faulty bearing, or improper installation.

Sounds fishy to me..You'd have to be really out of balance to screw a new bearing that quick methinks.

Thanks for the replies guys, I got the bearing changed last night. My mechanic said that it had a 6 month warranty on it, so he didn't charge me. But we are still not sure what caused it to fail, it might have been defective...just to be safe though, I will be getting my wheels balanced tonight.

hey what are your symptoms? What I mean is what does your car feel like and what does it sound like? reason I ask is because I have something going on up front and im trying to filter down what it is....

The symptoms I had was a loud grinding noise which typically got louder as I went faster. The noise may change/disappear if you make a slight turn. The way I checked to see if it was engine/tranny or wheel related noise was to put the car into drive(or neutral), and hold the the brakes while giving it some gas. Hope this helps.

I got mine changed for free as it was under warranty still, since it was only few months ago that they were installed. I paid around $150 (cdn) for one bearing when I first got it done.
