Question What's up with the red brake thingy?

As you can tell, I know jack $hi! about cars. I've seen a few nice rides with red brakes. Can anyone elaborate? What part of the braking system is that, and do you buy them red or get your stock part painted? At what cost?

Thanks folks.

Just a color of the calipers. Some just paint them. Other's are real and come red from factory... i.e. Porsche.

They are the calipers and if you are talking about TLs then it is something that you paint yourself. It isn't that hard, it just takes time and you can do any color you want.

thanks! yeah my dad and me did them in like 2 hrs. it took so long because they had to dry and we could only do 2 wheels at a time. it makes me feel better for not being able to buy aftermarket rims:p but it is very simple and worth the time
