What's a TL-P?

I've seen this term in the Acura-Cl.com and here. Sorry I'm an accord V6'er and don't understand. Where did this name come from? Can someone enlighten me?

Actually the "P" in TL-P stands for Premium. The "S" in TL-S stands for Speed. We don't want our regular TL brothers thinking they have a plain car. Far from it....

And yes, just TL and TL-P are interchangeable.

Actually the '02 manual refers to "premium" and "Type-S"

Who knows! You know these marketing alphabet soups: they don't really make any sense.

Yessir. The "S" in Type-S stands for "Speed". The "P" stands for "Premium." Does this mean a TL Type-S is not a Premium car?

Yep. Straight outta that rag Acura publishes once in a while. I agree--Sport seems more fitting (and politically correct). But speed it is (and speed I shall).
