Forced induction IS NOT A INTAKE. FI is a SuperCharger or a Turbo.

as for intakes the Comptech has shown to have the largest hp gains

However, the Icebox is also the tamest sounding. I like the Icebox because of its stock looks, most HP gains, and tame sound. The others aren't far behind as far as HP but are louder, especially the AEM V2(probably the loudest).

^ One of the primary factors affecting engine performance as the ability to get as much of the air and fuel mixture into the engine as possible. It can be thought of as the engines ability to "inhale". In order to produce power, an engine requires a fuel and air mixture to be mixed together and then brought into the cycle. The concept of forced induction is essentially a method wherein the air is literally compressed before it's brought into the process of combustion. The more air you get into it, the more performance you'll get out of it. This is where the concept of forced induction was derived.

(The turbo unit works by making use of exhaust gases in order to compress the intake while the supercharger mechanically translates the engines rotational power in order to do the same job.)

And the CAI Intake modifications are just to get more air into the engine (not compressed).

get the AEM V2 or the Comptech Icebox - the one you choose will depend on if you want a loud intake sound and a noticable modification under the hood, or if you want a still "quiet" intake with virtually the same look as stock
