Whats actually envolved in the oil jet kit procedure...

Later this week I'll be going to my local dealership to have the oil jet kit procedure done I was also thinking of doing a tranny fluid change.

My question is will the tranny fluid be drained at the same as the oil jet kit is being installed? If so why should I pay to have the tranny fluid/filter changed if there going to already be there refilling it when there done installing the oil jet kit.

No they don't change the trans. fluid.
What will happen is if your car has 15k or less miles then an oil jet kit will be installed without inspection of the second gear.
If over 15k they will inspect the gear meaning they remove the counter shaft speed sensor, blow gear clean with compressed air and take a digital photo which they store in their computer. After looking at the picture they took on the computer under magnification then the tech determines to install an oil jet kit or, if the gear looks discolored then he will send the image to Honda Motor Co. to see if a trans. should be ordered.

Yes, if you already had it done, disregard the notice. And lbbrando has explained everything involved in the procedure. Now if your wondering what the oil jet kit is, its just an extra nozzle that goes where your trans fluid filler plug would be and supplied for oil to the trans preventing overheating.

Yes. Usually when there's a huge recall like this the dealer will do a vin check even if your there for something else just to get the recall done.
