Lightbulb What You Paid

Kinda of a personal question only answer if you want to: How much did you pay for your TL Type S? Please only answer if you paid cash and DIDN'T do a trade in. I'm trying to get a feel for the dealer sale price range. Also could you please tell me where you bought your car and if any dealers screwed you over...thx a lot

Exclamation

The "invoice" price for a Type-S up here in Canada is C$37778 and change. I knew a dealer so he "only" added on C$1500 to make a subtotal of C$39300. Taxes up here really jack up the price however if you take exchange rate into consideration, it's much cheaper to purchase an Acura in Canada. ($1 US = $1.52 CAD)

Thumbs up

Here you go...

Dealership: Weir Canyon Acura(Heard good and bad about this dealership, but they didn't change there price on me. There under new ownership)

Salesperson: Jay

Car: Aegean Blue Pearl TL-S with navi.

Price Paid: 31,200 with Dest.

Total with tax(7.5%) and license(465)
Just over 34,000 out the door.

I'm from so cal also I highly recommend John over at South Coast Acura. I would of bought from him but he didn't have one in stock until mid May, that Aegean Blue is hard to come by I guess?

He will give you a good price also!

Good luck

Cool

Check the forum out. I read that some dealership in Costa Mesa is giving great deals. Not much over invoice. Do your homework before you buy. I got mines for 31,500. This included the rear spoiler, body kit and Gold package.

Inv is 28,687 don't pay more than 30,000 for a TL-S without Nav. This is 4.6% over invoice. Let them know this. Stay between 4 and 8%, and you are ok! I bought mines at a small dealership in Oakland Ca.

Bought my non-navi from South Coast Acura for $32,895 OUT THE DOOR, i.e., including destination, tax, documents, license, the whole enchilada. Car itself was $30,000 even.

I paid list but got the following:

1) The dealer removed my Comptech header and exhaust and re-installed it on my 2000 TL
2) The dealer gave me a $500 over allowance on my car
3) The dealer installed and warranted the Comptech parts on my TL-S before delivery, and it is on the sales order. My attorney says this is prima facie evidence of compatibility of the parts with my car, and would make it hard for Acura to invalidate my warranty later based on these parts being used.

So, I figure I got about $1000 of, and had the first car in town. I am ok with that deal, as the other TL-S' have gone at full boat.
