What would you have done?

A local Ford dealer in my area is having a HUGE sale. I went just to look at the new Mustang GT's. After driving an 06 Demo GT with 8K miles, they offered me 17K for my 03 TL with Nav and I would have to give 3K for the Mustang GT. I was tempted, but I am so happy with the TL I could not do it.

I'm not a fan of Fords b/c of their low quality vehicles. Also, there not very reliable. I would've never even walked into that Ford dealer.

Sounds like a good deal, but you should be able to get close to 20K for your car on craigslist.org or something like that. I say keep what you got! The TL is a great car despite the tranny issues.

I actually like the GT and it is FUN to drive, but Ford is known for less than stellar reliability.

Exactly I would be more concerned with their reliability and warranty down the road. Ford has a history of screwing people over, my mom went through 3 trannies on her taurus and ford refused to fix the last 1 and the car only has 45k miles.

Thanks guys I agree I made the right call. I only walked in because the owner was a family friend. Funny thing is they had a used 04 TL on the lot with 38K miles with a 29,995 price tag.

FORD: Fix Or Repair Daily or Found On Road Dead

;-)

Seriously, I like the new Mustangs but couldn't see buying one. I think that Ford quality has really slipped over the past few years

The new mustang is a pos. The interior is about as cheap as ive ever seen. Its like all their money went to paying their union employes and didnt have any money left for the inside.
