I purchased a set of 04 TL A-Spec wheels and tires for what I believe was a phenomenal price. There are two problems though: (1) I have a 2G TL = fitment issue and (2) the edge of all 4 rims have bad curb rashes (posting pictures would be a gruesome site). The previous owner must have been the worst parallel parker. My TL isn't lowered. And the specs of the wheels are 18x8.5 with a 45 offset with 235/40/18 ZR Yokohama tires. Here are my options:

1) Use the wheels and look like a 4x4.
2) Have the wheels refinished, put on the wheels, and still look like a 4x4. If I don't like the look, sell or trade them later.
3) Sell / trade the wheels as they are and get an aftermarket set that will fit.
4) Refinish the wheels and then sell / trade them.

What would you do?

 

I would sell em in the black market. Somebody will be all fruity over the fact they are the 8.5" rims and buy em off of you for what you likely paid....(or more?).

 

I would sell them for what you paid for them just go get rid of em.

 

I'm going to put them on my car to see how they look. I'll post pictures of it later on.
