What would you do?
What would you do?
Hi guys,
I know its almost summer, but my passanger seat heater went out. I just got the replacment element today. Now, my choice is do it myself, ( never did one) or pay $50 for a upholster shop to do it. Granted $50 is almost a 2/3 full tank, but. What would you do?
If I did it myself, how much time am I looking at?
thanks,
Jason

Its not hard to do urself, in fact chances are you didnt even need to get a new one, as a old one couldve been fixed with $3 worth of parts. But anyway, the hardest part IMO is getting the seat out of the car without scratching anything. Other than that its pretty straight forward. $50 isnt too bad as it will probably take you at least an hour or two the 1st time around. I just fixed mine a few days ago it was easy enough, but again be careful when pulling out the seat. I didnt even realize but it put some deep gashes in my pastic trim on the side where the seatbelt comes out of. Next job sanding it out.
