Question What would you do?

Ok, so I went from being worried that I got too good of a deal with my 2000 Acura and worried about the tranny, to finding out my motor and tranny are covered 100,000 miles with $0 deductable by Acura and I am getting that in writing from Acura- then had my mechanic check the car over and said what a perfect car I got...

Whew! What a roller coaster ride!

Here is my question to all of you who have owned 2000 model TL's. After 50K I can't buy the extended warranty. I only have 38K. The extended offers me nothing more for my motor and tranny. BUT it does cover everything else in the car, all electronic components, everything for 100K. It would cost $1,200.00! Thats a lot of money.

Everything I read states that these car have very, very few electronic problems, very few. At least not enough to pay that much on a warranty, and more than likley when they do start to go it would be after 100k anyways.

What would you do?

Everybody's different. But I can tell you that I had a Legend that I sold at 80K miles and never needed a warranty repair, and my 2000TL has 65K and has never needed a repair.

The NAV is the expensive thing, if that goes bad its $$$. If you don't have the NAV, well, up to you.

I say it depends on how long your planning to keep the car. If it makes sense to put 1200 more dollaz into it to keep it for 5 or 6 more years, then do it. But if you plan on selling at 75k miles or so, dont bother
