UA6 TL = J32A3
Second generation RL = C35A3

The RL doesn't share the J-block; instead it uses a variation of the C-block from the NSX.

Yeah, the C-series is 90 degrees, and the J-series is 60 degrees.

I'm missing your point, though.

Oh, I see your point now.

Yeah, but the RL block is designated as the C-series. Good point; now I'm curious.

Then why does hondanews.com say that the '05 2G RL has a 90-degree block?

OK, I guess the 2G RL has the J-series now, then. But I'm pretty sure that the 1G RL had the C-block.

the 1 g did have the C. they said in 96 they went to the j cause its designed to sit transverse as opposed to the C.

Im more Cornfused now than ever?

Is that even a valid reason?? The C-block is capable of being mounted transversely -- look at the NSX.

but the wider angle takes up more room, and with these cars being fwd all the space savings counts

That's true. Even trasversely mounted, these engine bays are already packed in.

As for the C vs. J issue... I'm still confused. RL owners should go check their engine block stamps for us.

This is not true. Our TL's have the J-block. The NSX has the C-block.
