what type of bulb?
Im in the process of finding new bulbs for my 03 tl. I want a light bluish tint but not a deep blue. Does anyone have a suggestion on one that is affordable or what kelvin I should be looking for ( seem like different brand have different colors at the same kelvin ). I was looking into just getting the phillips d2r 4300k that came with our car on ebay which are $88 but are they just bright white? I bought the car used so I never really got to see the color of the bulbs new. Does anyone have a picture of the color of the new stock bulbs?
I also want to ask if there are any fog light bulbs to match the light blue tint. thanks

If you wanted a bluish color(output) you would have to go with something higher than 6000k. Alot of members wouldn't recommend going higher than that because you lose visibility. I say your best bet is to either stick with the factory 4300k or go with 6000k.

I bought ebay bulbs, they've been great and so far have lasted me for over a year and a half (knocks on wood).
6000k is the way to go and not higher. you would only hate it after.

Here are a couple of links to support my, well, support.

On the second link, you can contact the seller by replying and if you like may purchase the bulbs from him. 5000k is just right on the color scale (WHITE with very little blue) and does not lose a lot of light. Remember the higher you go in K rating, the less lumens you put out.

I have Kaixen 6000Ks, but I have lowbeams and HID fogs. So together, they are bright. But if I have just my headlights on, you can tell they are dimmer than stock. However, the blue in them makes reflective signs really pop out. So I would imagine that the 5000K are the perfect balance between brightness of white light and the light blue tint helps you see signs.

Are the Kaxiens plug and play or is theres something that must be changed? ( im not to car savy ) The Kaxiens are a little over my budget since I have many things to fix on my car right now. I would consider them if i didnt have to buy something else with them. I was just considering some cheapies for the moment. I wanted to get these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...244537066&rd=1 , but what is the AMP connector?
I am also considering some of these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...030417285&rd=1
has anyone had any experience with the led fogs? how would they compare with regular fogs from say like autozone?

led fogs are not for lighting- strictly for show/looks- they put out nearly Zero light!!
KAIXEN 5000 or 6000 are they way to go
5 is very close to stock 4300, white with some blue, they dont change color as they age, so mush as they lose intensity
Go to Lowes hardware- florescent lights section - there is display with each color bulb so you can compare in person
I have kaixen 6000, and admit the 5s are better for average driver
I have poor night vision so the road lane lines and signs really pop with 6, and I like that!!
Put off other mod and get good bulbs- or buy them again in a while!
Kaixen is industry leader, and research facilty on lights!
the bay- you just never know- used to be good stuff but now its so many scammers and garbage
I got cheap hi beams there and now have to buy good ones that actually emit useable light

for actual use in fog conditions with foglights- get 3000k - yellow- cuts down glare and backwash of light into your eyes

our sponsoring vendor Excelerate has the deal on Kaixen - call or PM him
calling gets faster response!
for low beam its plug and play- no issues- we have HID lows already so you dont buy conversion kit- just the pair of bulbs- about $150 for pair last time I looked
