Cool What a relief!!!

These couple of days I felt really sad when driving my TLS because of the rattling noise coming from the passenger side. But today, I finally figure out what was wrong. The rattling was coming from the sunglasses holder. I remove my sunglasses and everything was quiet again. I was so happy that I am rid of this problem. I even made an appointment with my dealer to take a look at this problem.

Haha same thing happened to me, these guys have me so paranoid about squeaks, I was freaking until I realized it was my sunglasses. I need to take out the holder and pad it better. I'll prob do that this weekend

Hey, your not the only one. I noticed a new rattle in my car and i couldnt exactly pinpoint where it was comming from. Then, I took out my sunglasses from the holder and the noise was gone. Your exactly right, What a relief!

Here is the best way to find out what's rattling... drive the car over a bumpy road, and have someone else listen for the rattle and find out where its coming from! These noises can be a bear to pinpoint, I had one in my Saab that was driving me nuts - sunglasses in the glove compartment. Had another one in my Jeep, turned out to be the floor jack under the rear seat. :-)

Thumbs down

Same thing with the sunglass holder.
The seats sure are squeaky a$$ things, I noticed the passenger side squeaks change when someone is sitting in it. I shut mine off and I noticed if I take a deep breath I get an annoying squeak from the seat...

Man, sunglass holder/sunglass rattles are old news. I had that first happen in my '99 3.2TL. I took one of those nylon scrubbers that looks kinda like a sponge, about 1/2" thick, cut it to match the two internal ends of the sunglass holder and used two face tape. Then I installed the little make-shift bumpers inside onto each end the sunglass holder and Vịla NO RATTLES, NO NOISE! Try it, works great!

The most amazing thing about my TL-S is that when there is a rattle, it never sounds like it is coming from where the cause actually is! I had a loose connector under the steering wheel (for my Valentine), and the rattle sounded like it was either in the back or on the extreme passenger side. IT DROVE ME NUTS!!!!

I was able to position my sunglasses in such a way that they don't rattle in the holder. I actually slightly unfold them and wedge them in there. They are perfectly fine in that positions and they don't move around at all!
