Anyone bought one? Discounts? TIA

 

What is it with people? Think about this. We all want to tell every one how much we stole our car for, but yet we'll tell them we paid more for our home than we really did? Go figure that one out! Have you been driving domestics? If that's the case, that is why your so use to huge discounts. Not gonna happen with a Tl. It's called supply and demand. Let's pretend the 2003 List for a Type S 31,810W/O Nav. Let's say Invoice is 28,785 not including dealer prep. Some where in between maybe? What's the big deal? Your gonna love the car and the price will be fair. Maybe it's just more car than you can afford? Not everyone can drive an Acura TL! I'm sure glad I stepped up to the plate! Good luck!

 

Expect to pay near MSRP for it. I don't get it, the '02 and '03 are 99% identical, yet dealers are charging premiums for them???

Anyways, if it helps, I ordered an '03 TLP w/ Nav, spoiler, wood steering wheel & shift knob for $31,900 + TTL. I actually got a good deal since there are two Acura dealers w/i maybe a 10 mile radius and I was able to go back and forth between the two and play "Can-U-Beat-It????"

About five other in-state dealers were unable to match.

 

wow i think that's kinda expensive isn't it? i always think you could get the car at around 1k on top of invoice at most.... i got my tls back in last july and i paid only 500 over invoice.

 

I bought mine in August and it was the only one in the state! I was happy to pay it! I would of paid more! Who cares? Last car I bought I paid $3000 beliw factory Invoice and it sure didn't make me like the car more. Hey, $500 bucks ain't what it use to be! LOL

 

ah now that's a different story man. it wasn't the only tls they had in the lot so i was able to bargain a bit. but in your case it's excellent!!! other people can't even have the car man

 

That's correct! Not everyone can afford an Acura! LOL! Damm were lucky! Let the big discounters go to Domestics! LOL

Check it out gang. I work at a Chrysler Dealership. People walk in and all they ask is how much discount. I say, what about the car? What about the quality and the value? They say, again what's the discount? So I give them the BIG DISCOUNT! Do they like the car? Hell No! They got the big discount though! Bunch of idiots! I got a fair and honest transaction, and a GREAT CAR (TYPE S).

 

HereI am sitting at my computer talikin about my Type S. Damm! I'm gonna grab a cup of coffe and a cig and go out to the garage and visit it! LOL . See if you could say thay about a domestic! LOL. Hell I might even drive it! Na! I might get it dirty! LOL

billyvader, try cutting back on the coffee. Perhaps you've never heard of dealers selling cars for above sticker. I neither know nor care what your problem is, but you are living proof computers have gotten entirely too easy to use.

If you want to jones with threads, start your own.

And no offense to other Acura owners, but billy, if you think your car is the best or fastest car in the world, you need to get out more.

 

Do I detect a bit of sarcasim? I certainly didn't mean to get anyone upset. Sorry if I did. And please where did I ever mention that my Type S was the fastest and best car in the world? I just said if you want large discounts go buy a domestic. Which is the absolute truth. Do you dispute that? Do you ever hear of Acura, Lexus, BMW,Audi, Advertise discounts like domestics do? Again I apoligize if you felt I was trashing someones thread.
