When the 99 automatic tl is in park and put into drive it makes a loud noise and the engine seems to drop or move in a vertical type of movement not much but enough it make a funny noise, had it looked at and changed one of the mounts but changed nothing and was a waiste of money

which mount was changed--dealer part or what?
front mount-~ $120-150 part, behind radiator- is most common failure.
its fluid filled and some years are vacuum boosted
when its failure not discovered for a long time, the side mount (actual front of engine) fails from taking the extra load- that ones a basic $75 rubber mount

past those common failures- the rear engine mount- also fluid filled like front,
and 2 trans mounts,,rarely fail

from what i've seen in other threads and experience myself, its probably the line pressure when you go from park to reverse. do you let your car run for a while before moving it after its sat for a while? and does it do this after its been drivin for a while?

engine movement is usually broken mount

the reverse thunk when cold- wait 2 minutes as said before (trick learned from local acura head tech) and seen on here~

and stay off the trans fluid thickener additives!!

There are 5 total mounts for the motor and trans. If more than one are bad replacing 1 isnt going to fix it.
