Ok so i had the ignition on and i held down both the TRIP and RESET buttons and 10 seconds later i hear beeping and i saw the numbers "1,2,3,-3,-2,-1" (in order) right where my outside temp is suppose to be. What do those numbers do and what feature was that??? This is on a 99 TL-p.

If you can verify that your outside temperature sensor is over/under by 1 to 3 degrees, this allows you to adjust it.

If you hold the buttons and turn the key ON- it resets the oil change reminder for you.
key on and then buttons- temp adjust

The outside sender is behind the grill- if you put it in ice water you can calibrate the temp reading
Main reason for the guage is to warn of icing conditions and remind you its 98 outside while 68 inside
