What don't you like about your TypeS?
Yes the typeS is a great car but I was just wondering what you people don't like about them.
my list:
E-Brake is on the floor
Fog lights don't match Headlights
No 5sp (or 6sp) available yet
In spot shift it goes from gears 1-2 just like an auto
well that's about all i can think of right now. I guess thats not very bad at all (those are pretty picky)

I think the heated seats when on High its too hot. Burns my lower back.
Stock tires SUCKS!!
Tires are not wide enough
I find it weird having the sunroof controls on the left side of the steering wheel.

NO TELESCOPING WHEEL!!!!!! Im 6'6" tall......just cant adjust everything right. When the seat is where I want it....the wheel is too far away......when the wheel is where I want it.....the SEAT IS TOO CLOSE! DAMN!!!!

Nothing major but i would like:
1.) 1- touch Moonroof
2.) heated steering wheel
3.) Being able to play random between all 6 CD's
Again i love my car and don't really have any complaints. Those would be things i would change.

1) fake blackwood.....wish they had real wood
2) want a one touch button for sunroof
3) tweeters
4) wider stock rims w/better tires
5) better quality control
Thats all I can come up with right now. I still love my car.

Some of the same above (tires,squeeks,e-brake)
Others:
1) Seat lateral support & bottom cushion comfort
2) Radio FM reception and not enough station presets.
3) No light on overhead garage door button
4) No auto power window on passenger side
5) No auto headlight shutoff
6) Auto trans drag when letting up on gas
7) Motor surge when AC comes on.
There are still a lot of things I do like about the car.
Others:

1 touch moonroof and passenger window would've been nice. Maybe wider tires as well, like the ones on the I-35. I would've really liked to have more torque. These things are extrmemely nominal when compared to the sure visceral enjoyment I get out of this car!

WE do, just dont turn the lights off, and when you take out the key.. walk away you lights will turn off by themselves.
Auto-sensing lights would have been nice. Actually, I would really prefer DRL like the Canadian models have.

5. Lack of real fog lights (this makes no sense at all on a $31k car)

Well since everyone has posted most of their dislikes... I had a similar thread running regarding the new features found in the I35 (a car which competes in the same price category) but has a lot of the features that everyone is complaining about... so I thought I'd re-post it here.

1) No lights in under the hood, now I know rarely will we have any engine problems, but still there is no lights under there...

I would like a blinking light and maybe even a chime that goes off for a couple seconds if you turn off the car and the sunroof is open. I have forgotten to close it a couple times. Good thing it never got rained on.

Alright, I'll say it again. Being older and more "comfort oriented", I think the stock ride is way too harsh and jiggly with no apparent real benefit to handling. It's the only thing that agravates me over and over when I drive the car. I plan to lower with Comptech or RR springs to get rid of the dive, and hopefully the jiggle, but I don't think that will improvement the ride over less than optimum road surfaces.
Other than that, I can certainly live with the other "problems", which taken together probably saved us all about 5-10 grand.

As for #5, I believe most cars come with the same type of foglights that we have, which are just low beam headlight bulbs. I'm pretty sure that most manufacturers use 9006 in their fogs which gives 55 watts of power....

No, that's right. RR is short for "Rail Road". Springs are made of 2" diameter steel, and guaranteed to prevent any dive or squat, and most lateral and vertical movement.

Bose system,ability to tilt wipers at home position to clean window thoroughly,need illuminated controls for the radio controls and for the cruise controls.I sure wish my DVD Navigation was complete with maps.

3: no auto down and up for windows other then driver's
4: out of factory fender gap is bigger in front then rear.
5: leather could be a little softer.

Was the auto-up feature new for 2002? My new TL-S has it. Just pull up further on the driver's side window button and that will tell the window to go all the way up.
